– CTA Study Skills Seminar, Sept 2018 – (1 Day Seminar: 9:30am-4:30pm)

The skills for learning are at the very core of the educational process. Telling a student to study hard without teaching them the best methods or techniques to use is fruitless. The goal of Study Skills seminars is to equip students with the skills and motivation to achieve optimum results through precise study techniques. The vital task of teaching students how to study and maximize their potential can slip by in today’s busy school schedule. If students learn how to study, their confidence soars and their school/college results can improve dramatically.

This one day intensive seminar covers a wide range of skills including motivation, goal settingtime management, exam performancenote taking and memory techniques. The seminar is designed to help second level students achieve their full potential, by improving their study and organisational techniques and their motivation to succeed. The Seminar fee is outlined in the Fee Schedule (Up to 100 students max per Seminar session).

These Seminars are subject to demand and places are limited. Registration for this Seminar opens in July 2018;  as such we are not currently taking bookings. However, you can register your interest today by emailing the Academy at info@clonmeltuitionacademy.ie to avoid disappointment! – ‘Wine Appreciation’ Course [October 2018] – (4 Week course, Mondays 7-9pm)

Wine is integral to the culture & lifestyles of so many European countries. France, for example, is the leading producer of wines in the world. A visitor to Spain is more likely to hear the invocation of the country’s great artists, writers and poets than anything else, and it is this same love of life, culture and the arts that has been poured into Spain’s wine making tradition for years. Similar can be said of Italy and its relationship with the grape. A little knowledge about wine is actually easy to build.

At CTA the aim of the ‘Wine Appreciation Course’ is to help participants get to grips with what is on offer in the Irish wine market, and how to get the best from a bottle of wine. Myths are challenged, prejudices are confronted, and all proceedings take place in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. There is a strong emphasis on tasting, as we believe that this is the best way to learn about wine. The course fee is outlined in the Fee Schedule (Up to 30 participants max).

Registration for this course is now OPE!. To express your interest in attending this course or for more information, please contact CTA by sending us an email at info@clonmeltuitionacademy.ie  or you can click here to book your place!

This course is for anyone (over 18yrs – Photo ID must be provided) who enjoys wine and wants to learn more about wines and the various cultures attached to the wine industry !
