Adult Beginners Language Classes

Whatever doubts you have, you really can learn another language. Every excuse that people give for failing to learn a second language, be it too old, not enough time, wrong genes, none of them stand up!

The world is changing fast. More companies than ever are doing business in several countries around the world, but they can’t do it without hiring globally-minded people who can speak at least one foreign language. Learning a second language opens up many career opportunities and as such improves ones’ employment prospects. Even in small, local companies, the ability to speak a second language will give you an advantage over those who don’t.

Did you know that recent studies have shown that, no matter how old you are, speaking a second language daily really can boost cognitive development and improve your memory! It also aids longer attention spans and reduces the risk of age-related cognitive decline.

Language and culture are intimately linked. By learning another language you will be exposed to another culture outside of your own. If there is a culture or country that you’d like to understand better, or someone you’d like to know better in that country, then the best way you can enrich that experience is by learning to speak their language. The world is also full of works of creative art from other cultures. Learn to appreciate some of them in their original language. Clonmel Tuition Academy is currently offering classes for adults in the following languages. Click on the links to learn more:

The language courses follow a 10-week programme, for one hour per week, once a week. Your teacher will also set you homework which needs to be completed between the lessons. The course content is based around a core course book, with additional materials and resources introduced each week by the teacher. In our classes you will learn standard French/Spanish/German/Polish, and the lessons will focus on the key areas of vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation. Please visit our course outline page for full information on the course content.

Its main aim is to provide a method of learning, teaching and assessing which applies to all languages in Europe. There are six reference levels which are becoming widely accepted as the European standard for grading an individual’s language proficiency.
