CTA FEE SCHEDULE:

Enrolment for all courses requires a completed enrolment form and full payment of fees prior to the course start date. To secure your place on a particular course a deposit is required upon registration, which will be deducted from the final payment. For students enrolling in a class mid-programme (where possible), fees will be adjusted accordingly!

Second Level Tuition

CTA Maths Boosters®:

LC HL Maths- Intensive Pre-Leaving Cert Courses for 5th & 6th yrs: (Leaving Cert.: 6 week course- Class duration is 1hr:20mins : 1 class per week)

CTA offers a suite of Maths ‘Booster Courses’ which focuses on specific areas of the LC HL Maths syllabus and are designed for both 5^th & 6^th year students who want to get the best results in their Leaving Cert. HL Maths exam. Typically these courses are run over 6 weeks regularly throughout the year and enable the student to apply their skills to different context questions which account for half of the marks in Paper 1 and Paper 2. (NB: These are not revision courses, the subject matter is taught from scratch, no prior knowledge of the subject matter is required). Up to 12 students max per class. The fee for theses course is €245 per course. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

CTA Accounting Boosters®:

LC HL Accounting- Intensive Pre-Leaving Cert Courses for 5th & 6th yrs: (Leaving Cert: 6-8 week courses- Class duration is 1hr:20mins : 1 class per week)

CTA offers a suite of Accounting ‘Booster Courses’ which focuses on specific areas of the LC HL Accounting syllabus and are designed for both 5^th & 6^th year students who want to get the best results in their Leaving Cert. HL Accounting exam. Typically these courses are run over 6-8 weeks regularly throughout the year and enable the student to apply their skills to different context questions. (NB: These are not revision courses, the subject matter is taught from scratch, no prior knowledge of the subject matter is required). Up to 12 students max per class. The fee for these courses are:

CTA LC English ‘Creative Writing’ Booster®:

Intensive Pre-Leaving Cert English Course for 5th & 6th yrs: (Leaving Cert: 8 week course- Class duration is 1hr:20mins: 1 class per week)

Take your Leaving Cert. writing to the next level by developing your creative writing skills with confidence and learn how to not only write more deeply and more skilfully but also to skilfully interpret written pieces to achieve real results in your LC Higher Level English essays and compositions. Students will learn comparative study techniques and practice the techniques of writing such as dialogue, description, narration, character development, plotting, setting, metaphor and suggestion. The techniques under discussion will be practised using some of the prescribed LC HL texts. The fee for this course is €250. Deposit of €100 required upon registration (up to 12 students max per class)

CTA Lingua Revise Boosters®:

French/Spanish/German/Irish Grammar- Intensive Pre-Leaving Cert Courses for 5th & 6th yrs: (Leaving Cert.: 8 week course- Class duration is 1hr:20mins: 1 class per week)

We are offering specialist exam preparation courses for French/Spanish/German/Irish Grammar at Leaving Cert Higher Level. Our exam preparation course focus on areas of the grammar of the language that a student may not be so confident with and common exam subjects and topics. Our exam preparation courses have been designed to maximise your potential when sitting such examinations. Up to 12 students max per class for French/Spanish/Irish and up to 10 for German. The fee for this course is €250. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

Intensive Easter Revision Courses – LC Polish (HL): (10 Day Course: Class duration is 2HR each day)

Polish is the second most spoken language in Ireland. However, as a non-curricular EU language, Polish does not appear as part of the normal school educational programme/ module. Thus, it is of great importance to support students in the process of preparing them for the Leaving Cert. exam in this subject!

CTA is offering an Intensive Easter Revision programme for students of Polish as a Leaving Certificate subject during the Easter break 2020. Students in the first or second year of the Leaving Certificate course are welcome to join.

Up to 20 students max per class for this intensive course. The course fee is €300. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

Spanish as an extra subject for the Leaving Cert. 2021: (2 year programme: Class duration is 1hr:30mins two evenings per week)

Studying an extra subject for the Leaving Cert. offers students the opportunity to pursue a course of study not available at their own school. It also allows students to maximise their potential when it comes to CAO points. Our extra subjects cover the entire syllabus in two years and are suitable for both 5th and 6th Year students looking to boost their performance in the Leaving Certificate.

Up to 16 students max per class for this course. The annual fee for the programme is €1,980. Deposit of €200 required upon registration.

Language School

Evening Language Classes (For Adult Beginners – FRENCH/SPANISH/GERMAN/POLISH) (Beginners 1/2/3/4: 10 week course- Class duration is 1hr: 1 class per week)

The course fee is €145 per person for Beginners 1 & 2 (includes all course materials; except for the Beginners 2 & 3 courses in German). Up to 12 students max per class. Deposit of €50 required upon registration. Beginners 3 & 4 €200 per person.

Morning Language Classes (For Adult Beginners – FRENCH/SPANISH) (Beginners 1/2/3/4: 10 week course- Class duration is 1hr: 1 class per week)

Afternoon Language Classes (For Children Beginners – FRENCH/SPANISH/GERMAN/POLISH) (Beginners 1/2/3/4: 10 week course- Class duration is 1hr: 1 class per week)

The course fee is €145 per person (includes all course materials). Up to 10 students max per class. Deposit of €50 required upon registration.

Summer Language Programmes (Bootcamps) (For Junior Teens & Senior Cycle) – FRENCH/SPANISH/GERMAN/POLISH) (2 week camp- Class duration is 2hrs: 1 class per day over 10 days)

The course fees are as follows:

Junior Teens Summer Language Bootcamp – €300 per person (includes all course materials). Up to 12 students max per class. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.
Senior Cycle Summer Language Bootcamp – €350 per person (includes all course materials). Up to 12 students max per class. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

English as a Foreign Language (12 week course: Class duration is 2hrs, two evenings per week)

The course fee is €720 per person (up to 16 students max per class). It is important to note that the course fee does not include the IELTS exam fees). Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

Understanding Basic Irish Sign Language: 8 week ‘Taster’ course: (Beginners : 8 week course-Class duration is 1hr: 1 class per week)

Irish Sign Language (ISL) is the sign language used in Ireland (primarily in the Republic of Ireland). CTA is now offering a course in Basic ISL. This course gives a concise overview of ISL, basic signs and instructions. The Student will also gain an understanding of the problems and barriers that people who have a hearing loss can experience. It will also outline basic strategies hearing people can use to communicate respectfully and effectively with deaf people.

Up to 12 students max per class. The fee for this course is €120. Deposit of €50 required upon registration.

An Introduction to Irish Sign Language: Accredited QQI/FETAC Level 3 (ISL1) course: (Beginners 1: 15 week course-Class duration is 1hr: 30mins : 1 class per week)

Up to 12 students max per class. The fee for this course is €350. Deposit of €75 required upon registration.

Christmas Revision Courses ( 1 Day Course: 9:30am-4:30pm – [1 hr for lunch] )

Seven subjects on offer:

(French/Spanish/German/Irish/English/Maths/Accounting). Up to 30 students max per class for these intensive courses. The fee for these courses is €150 for 1 subject, with each additional subject enrolled on costing €100. Deposit of €75 required upon registration for each subject.

Supervised Study- Weekends from February 2020 ( Saturdays & Sundays: 9am-6pm – 8 hours study time )

Up to 50 students max per study session. The fees for the Study Programme are €450 (for both days) or €225 (for one day). Payment can be made in full upfront or alternatively you can opt for the following staged payment plan:

CTA career workshops aim to support young people in exploring their career options and making informed decisions about subject choices, higher education, alternative pathways and future employment. Up to 16 students max per workshop. The fee for the workshop is €299. Deposit of €100 required upon registration.

CTA Study Skills Seminar: 5th Oct. 2019 (1 day Seminar: 9:30 am to 4.30 pm -[1 hour for lunch])

This one day intensive seminar covers a wide range of skills including motivation, goal setting, time management, exam performance, note taking and memory techniques. The seminar is designed to help second level students (and indeed anyone in an exam year) achieve their full potential, by improving their study and organisational techniques and their motivation to succeed. Up to 50 participants max. per seminar. The fee for the Seminar is €80. Deposit of €40 required upon registration to secure your place.

Business & Marketing Workshops:

‘Wine Appreciation’ Course: [November 2019] (4 Week course: 3 Mondays & 1 Friday: 7-9pm)

Wine is integral to the culture & lifestyles of so many European countries. France, for example, is the leading producer of wines in the world. A visitor to Spain is more likely to hear the invocation of the country’s great artists, writers and poets than anything else, and it is this same love of life, culture and the arts that has been poured into Spain’s wine making tradition for years. Similar can be said of Italy and its relationship with the grape. A little knowledge about wine is actually easy to build.

At CTA the aim of the ‘Wine Appreciation Course’ is to help participants get to grips with what is on offer in the Irish wine market, and how to get the best from a bottle of wine. There is a strong emphasis on tasting, as we believe that this is the best way to learn about wine. Up to 30 participants max. The course fee is €160. A deposit of €80 required upon registration.

A deposit is required for all courses/seminars/workshops to secure your place, (except for the mock oral courses where full payment is required upon registration). Remaining fees are payable in advance to Clonmel Tuition Academy, either in cash, by cheque, Paypal, Standing Order, Electronic Funds Transfer (account details available upon request) or you can now pay online at https://clonmeltuitionacademy.ie/booking-forms/ (probably the quickest and easiest option). Contactless payment is also now available. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT. However as an education institute we do not apply VAT to our courses. Prices include tuition and all course materials (ie. printed handouts/photocopies). The fees do not include the cost of any required/recommended textbooks/workbooks.

Discounts:

There will be a 5% discount for each of any siblings enrolled on our courses (outside of the Kids/Adult Language courses), this also applies to the Supervised Study programmes. There is a 5% discount applied for any additional courses/workshops/seminars on which a student enrols, however this is not in conjunction with any other discount or offer. There will be a 10% sibling/family discount for each of any siblings/family members enrolled on the Kids/Adult language courses. For the CTA Booster/’Revision Booster’ courses we offer a 20% discount for students wishing to enrol on more than one Booster/Revision course. For our Intensive Revision Courses at Christmas/Easter/Sundays; the fee for 1 subject is €150, for each additional subject enrolled on the fee is €100 per extra subject. No further discounts apply, however, there will be a sibling discount of 5% applied in the case of more than one family member enrolling on the CTA Intensive Revision courses. For the ‘Mock Oral courses + exam’ there is a 10% discount for 2 subjects enrolled on, 20% for 3 subjects and 30% for 4 subjects. From time to time we run ‘Early Bird Registration’ and ‘Group Booking’ discount offers for limited periods only. These offers do not run in conjunction with any other offer/discount or our regular discount programmes. If a booking qualifies for multiple discounts the total discount cannot exceed 20%. We do not charge registration fees.

CTA Gift Vouchers are redeemable at Clonmel Tuition Academy only and can be used when making a purchase. The vouchers have no implied warranties. A CTA gift voucher must be presented with the receipt for payment (safe where they were won in a raffle). They are not redeemable for cash, they are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon, offer or discount. The voucher will expire after 24 months of inactivity. The voucher will not be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen. (CTA is not responsible for lost, stolen or unauthorised use of vouchers). The unused value of the voucher remains until the expiry date and cannot be redeemed for cash. CTA Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions are subject to change.

We now offer a Loyalty Programme. Collect 3 credits for every €1 you spend on any of our products or services in person or online. With one credit equal to one cent. Credits are not available on gift vouchers (except during special promotional events). We will not exchange CTA credits for cash and the offer is non-transferable. You must have enough CTA credits to cover the cost of the product/merchandise in the ‘online store’; you cannot make a part payment of credits towards a product or service purchased in the ‘online store’ (this does not apply to courses/workshops/seminars purchased online). You will not qualify for CTA Loyalty programme credits, offers or discounts that are related to any other scheme offers/benefits, products or services when you pay with credits. We reserve the right to substitute or remove products and services available for CTA Loyalty programme credits collection and redemption in person and online without notice.

Notice & cancellations:

A minimum of 1 months’ notice is required to opt out of the Supervised study programmes at any time during the year otherwise the deposit cannot be refunded, however with the required notice period CTA will provide a full refund for prepaid sessions. Cancellations should be evidenced in writing and CTA will provide written or emailed confirmation that we have received your cancellation request within one working day. Deposits for other courses will only be refunded where CTA needs to cancel a course.

Refunds:

Students paying monthly for Supervised Study are automatically enrolled for the following month unless their parent/guardian cancels enrolment within the required notice period.

For any of the 10 week language courses (Kids/Adults) and the Sign language courses full payment is required prior to the start date of the course. A deposit is required upon registration to secure your place on the course. Should you wish (for whatever reason) to cancel your registration on any of the Beginners Language programmes, 1 weeks (7 working days) notice in writing is required in order to get a full refund of your deposit paid. For the English Language (IELTS) course there is the ‘staged payment’ option. Unfortunately there will be no refunds for students who decide to opt out of any of these courses mid-course. This is due partly because of the costs involved in running the courses and also to be fair to the students already enrolled on the courses and those on the ‘wait-list’. Whilst the Adults and Kids language courses are designed to be fun and engaging, there is an academic element. If you feel you, or your child (as the case may be) might decide to opt out after a couple of lessons it might be best not to enrol on the course in the first instance.

For the Supervised Study programmes one months notice in writing is required to opt out of the programme for a refund of remaining fees paid. For the Intensive Revision courses you can cancel your enrolment and get a full refund of fees up to 14 days prior to the Course start date.

All of the Language programmes and CTA Lingua Revise; Maths and Accounting Booster Courses require a minimum of 10 registrants in order to take place. Whilst we expect to reach this minimum in all relevant courses, in the event that there are not enough participants registered by the Sunday evening before the first day of the course, we reserve the right to cancel the course and process a full refund of fees paid to the student/parent.

No tuition fee refunds are given for any classes missed by the student, however if you write a short letter of explanation, at the discretion of management, under the particular circumstances, a credit note may be put on the student’s file for future use or for use by a sibling. Classes missed by the Tutor will absolutely be rescheduled and prior notice given.

In relation to CTA Loyalty Programme, if you return a product for a refund, we will deduct the number of CTA Loyalty programme credits collected from your CTA purchases. If a product you buy with CTA Loyalty Programme credits is faulty, please return it to us. If necessary, we will credit your account with the correct number of credits. No cash refund will be given in these circumstances.

If a course you wish to join has started, it may still be possible to join, for the language programmes and the second level programmes. We can arrange catch-up notes to cover what you have missed (included in the full course fee). However, we do not advise joining after Lesson 2. Please contact the Academy if you wish to join after the official start date.
