Summer Language Boot Camps – Senior teens (Senior Cycle)

The Clonmel Tuition Academy’s ten day comprehensive summer language Bootcamps are designed to help students at the higher level of the language  (French/German/Spanish) at senior cycle to revise core elements of the syllabus and boost existing knowledge hence putting students on the front foot upon their return to school in September 2019.  These Bootcamps are for 5th & 6th year students (Leaving Cert. Higher Level 2020/2021).

These camps are classroom based and  are designed to complement classes already attended at secondary school and to lay the groundwork for the school year ahead. They provide a diversification and broadening of the language in an interactive and fun way, with a focus on interests and topics relevant to the participants. The Bootcamps are specifically designed to deepen knowledge of the aural and oral aspects of the language through various activities especially adapted to this age group. Teachers focus on interests and topics relevant to the participants as well as the requirements of the syllabus. 

The courses consist of one ‘2 hour’ daily class run over 10 days. The course fee is €350 per participant (up to 12 participants max per class)

All aspects of the Leaving Cert HL examination paper will be covered, including;
– Oral work
– Listening comprehension
– Reading comprehension
– Written production; (letters, emails, notes, diary entries and reaction pieces)

Registration closing date 14^thJune 2019. To secure your child’s place a non-refundable deposit of €100 is required upon registration. The balance must be paid prior to the course start date.  Online booking is also available!

**All of our Language Courses require a minimum of 10 registrants in order to take place. Whilst we expect to reach this minimum in all courses, in the event that there are not enough participants registered by the Sunday evening before the first day of the course, we reserve the right to cancel the course and process a full refund of fees paid to the student/parent.

***Please be advised that whilst a ‘deposit paid’ secures your place onto a course, it does not guarantee admission to the course. In order to gain admission to any of our courses, fees need to be paid in full prior to the course start date. The reason for this is mainly because for may of our courses the full ‘book of notes’ for the entire course is handed out at the first lesson. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with regard to this. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any student who has not paid the course fees in full prior to the start date of the course (ie. the first lesson)
